The southwest part of the Halifax Regional Municipality
consists of the Halifax, Bedford, and Sackville metropolitan area. This is an urban
center that has a population of approximately three hundred thousand. Almost any
imaginable amenity is available including abundant night life, fine
dining and
numerous shopping areas.
The more south-western part of the Halifax Regional Municipality consists of smaller
communities such as Tantallon, which is the gateway to Saint
Margaret's Bay area.
The Bay area has many smaller communities along its shores which boast great
salt water, sandy beaches, and a rural lifestyle. All of this
and yet it is only minutes from the convenience
of Greater Halifax Metro.
